About this pattern

Last fall my friend gifted me with a few lavender sachets, made with lavender from her garden. I love lavender, it is one of my favourite scents and I have been missing my own garden plants. I always have a few sachets scattered in with my shawls and sweaters.

I decided that I needed to knit a sachet or two for the lavender. I used a Fringe Cast-on to create flower petals along the top edge, so that, once the edge had been gathered up and closed, the top would look like a flower. My sachets are smaller than hers, so I have lots of lavender. I will have to make a few more!

These little sachets are useful for more than lavender. Think small gift bags or maybe bigger bags, make with bigger needles and heavier yarn. I hope that you have fun with your knitting.
