About this pattern
This 1902 Butterick pattern has only 12 stitches to cast on. There are 2 set up rows and 4 repeating rows. This edging could be used with or without ribbons in the double yarn overs – your choice. The edging is 1.75 inches wide blocked to gauge but gauge is up to you.
Skills needed: cast on, slip, knit, purl, YO, YO twice, k2tog and bind off in knit stitch.
Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
28 yards of Aunt Lydia’s Classic 10 thread will make 10 inches of this beading edging at gauge.
